What kind of Paint do you use? Is it safe?

Face paint isn't really paint, it's technically a cosmetic makeup specifically for skin. Many amateurs use acrylic craft paint which is dangerous, harmful, peels, stains, and looks terrible once it dries. At Create-A-Face, we only use FDA approved face / body makeup for the skin because we are committed to the safety of our clients. These water based formulas are specifically designed to be hypo-allergenic, gentle and easy to remove with mild soap and water. We use only skin / makeup grade poly glitters as well.  Only the best for our clients!

How much time should I book for Face Painting?

Great Question!  A good place to start, would be 5 minutes per face painting, but please keep in mind, it may not be accurate most of the time. Depending on the complexity of the design, it may take longer. Please book enough time so that we don't have to disappoint your guests. Overtime is by the half hour.

How much do you charge for your services?

That information can be found in our RATES/PACKAGES Tab.  Face Painting, Balloon Twisting, Glitter & Matte Tattoos and Airbrush Tattoos may have different rates. Do you have Combo Party Packages?

Yes we do!  Some of our package deals can be found on our Rates/Packages tab.  We are always adding different packages from time to time. Do you bring everything? Table and Chair?

That is completely up to you! If you would like for us to bring a table and chair, we will!  Our goal is to make this experience as pleasant as possible! We can discuss your needs when you book our services. 

How far in advance should I book my party/event?

The sooner, the better! You should contact us when you have your set date and time. Bookings are only confirmed once we have the completed contract and deposit.

My kids don't care for Face Painting, can you do it anyway?

You are our customer and we want you to be happy, and we want your kids to be happy! That is the goal, all around happiness! That being said, no, we will not paint anyone who does not want to be painted. Now, we can suggest an arm painting and many times that will work.  But you may want to consider a different service we offer, if face painting is an activity you know they would not enjoy.  At Create-A-Face we aim to make it a great experience...for all!  Click on the button below to view other service options.

How much deposit do I need to put down to reserve a date and time?

A non refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. In case you decide to move your event to a different date your deposit will be credited. It is best that you book as soon as you have a party date, we tend to book 3 - 5 weeks in advance. Deposits are usually 50% of the balance.  If the service(s) are booked within the same week of event, then the entire balance will be due at time of booking unless an agreement is made between the client and Create-A-Face.  Please refer to 'What is your cancelation policy?' for further information on deposits.

What is your cancelation policy?

The deposit is non-refundable, should the client cancel or postpone the event.  In the case of postponement, CREATE-A-FACE will work with you to acommodate an alternate date; however, due to other bookings and commitments, availability may be limited.  Client must inform CREATE-A-FACE at least seven (7) days prior to event if there will be a postponement.

What do I need to provide for the Airbrushing service?

We need an outlet and a well ventilated space!  Although our body airbrush paint is low in scent, it is still a good idea to have sufficient ventilation.  

Also, although we will have a 25 foot extension cord, we will need to be close enough to an outlet.  WE MUST HAVE POWER to run the air compressor. 

Do you charge a travel fee?

A travel fee may be applied to your balance depending on the location of your event.  

Once the location of your event is determined, we will let you know before confirming the booking.
